With 40 line drawn illustrations by Hugh Thomson including tissue guarded frontispiece [Gilson E86]. Clean boards with bright gilt titles and a little bruising to the top corner of the upper board. The spine is faded with some dulling to the spine titles. Internally, without name, inscription or bookplate and just a little spotting mainly to the uncut edges edges of the text block and frontispiece tissue guard but occasionally impinging on the margins in a couple of places. All in all a very presentable copy of this beautifully illustrated work.
